Abbie, Bud and Zabe

So, I was taking Zabe out to my moms the other day when I came across this leaf. I thought it was beautiful. You can see its tracks coming across the driveway. Where it is sitting it got stuck in the snow and was just blowing back and forth. So, I got Z in the car and ran back in the house to grab the camera before the leaf blew away. (ok, maybe I didn't run) I thought Em would be so proud!!

It is absolutely freezing outside!!!! Seriously I don't think I ever remember it being THIS cold outside. Tonight on our way home from Gooz and Cassie's the thermometer in the car said -17. For real that is so cold. I know, I know, Jeromy and Emily pore soul’s way up there in Babbitt and Hibbing. Your saying, "Buck up! It's -35 below here."
I don't know how you can do it.

My poor pipes in the salon froze yesterday afternoon. Bud came to the rescue and ran to Menards to get some ????electrical tape?????? to put around the pipes. If I understood him right it's like some tape you put around the pipes, plug it in and it heats up the pipe to have them un-thaw. Thank God they did come un-thawed and we had no broken pipes!! It would have been a mess, and I just didn't want to have to deal with it on Super bowl Sunday. It was so nice to relax tonight with my husband and friends. Zabe went to Les and Linda's and spent the evening entertaining them. Thank you again!! Sounds like he gave Grandma quite a run for her money with his messy diaper. Bath and all.

18 days til were in Sunny Flordia. YEAH!!!

So as most of you know Z has been sleeping in his car seat. In his crib. I could never get him to sleep lying down. I could lay him down and he'd be up 10 minutes later, but if you let him sleep on your lap he could sleep for days, so I’d just lay down a blanket in his car seat before bed and he'd be out. (Not without his musical bear) He’s been sleeping through the night in his car seat for a few weeks.

SO, anyway, Saturday night when I took him up I layed him down in his crib. He was out and seemed pretty relaxed. I went to bed about an hour later, praying he would stay asleep and just relax and be comfy. Right as I was about out, he started crying. "Of course!" It couldn't be that good, not all night the first night, so I ran in there and gave him is nuk and he was out until 8:00 am. AMEN.

He slept all night again last night in his crib. That was even after he had been asleep at Les and Linda’s woken to put in his car seat for the ride home. He stayed asleep only awaking to have his nuk be placed back in his mouth.

I cannot say enough how nice it is to have your child sleeping through the night in his own room in his crib. My next step is to be able to put him in his crib awake and have him fall asleep by himself……one day.

Everything you give Zabe lately he has been putting right in his mouth. I really think he is getting another tooth. He has been drooling a lot more often at times also. When you are holding hands with him he tries to put your hand in his mouth also. He is starting to play with more toys and grab at them more everyday.

Earlier today, I was cleaning upstairs when I went to wash my hands in the bathroom, there was no hot water coming from the sink. So I called Bud and he had to come home from work to yet again come to the rescue and get it un thawed. Luckily he did it and we didn't have a mess with the pipes breaking. Thank God. I just couldn't imagine if we had a big water mess.

It was another chilly day here obviously our pipes wouldn't freeze if it were any warmer. This am they (news anchors) said it was, -20. BRRRRRR. I of course was not up at that time when it was that cold. We woke up at 9:00 and I am sure it was a mere -15 below then.

I love Minnesota winters............NOT!!! lol

The upstairs bathrooms hot water pipes are froze again......imagine that. I noticed it this am when I woke at 5 to go to the bathroom. Zabe also woke up at this time. That is actually why I was up. Bud went down and checked the pipes. Not a whole lot we can do about it, wait for them to thaw I guess. Bud went to work anyway, and I have been checking through out the morning to see if they were thawed yet.....nope.

This picture cracks me up. It's like Zabe is trying to show his tooth. Like, "Yo, mom! What is this sharp thing in my mouth?" Well son, "That is the object why mommy hates breastfeeding you." Ouch.....seriously. Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

Well Em guessed it in her last comment. Although Zabe was not eating a cracker he did have his first try at some cereal today. He had probably a half a dozen bites, then I think it got a little cold and he didn't want anymore. It was pretty funny watching him. I don't think he knew what to think. He had some pretty funny facial expressions. I also got it on video for daddy to see. I felt like I had been nursing him all day, so that’s how I decided to try a little cereal. Like he just wasn't getting enough.

So yesterday, you know the pipes were frozen all day, until Bud got home last night at about 9:00. He wasn't the happiest camper as you can imagine since they were froze all day and he couldn't understand why they were still froze. So anyway, he goes down to the basement to check to see what is going on and why they were not thawing and comes back up stairs and goes, "Hun, I'm such a moron!" I replied, "Ya?!" He says, "Well you know the light has to be on down in the laundry room in order for the electrical tape to be turned on as well!" HA HA HA So all day the thing wasn't even turned on. He said he would have been so mad at himself if the pipes would have broke and it was because he hadn't left the light on.

Ok, so now..... Bud ALWAYS, ALWAYS, leaves lights on through out the house and I am constantly telling him to turn the lights off behind him. So, the one time he listened....
(ok, maybe not the first time, but second) Crazy.

Hopefully we will not have any more frozen pipes. I am desperately in need of a shower I must add. We finally had hot water last night at like 10:30, and I didn't feel like showering then.

Oh yesterday when I went down to do laundry, I turned on the light and the fan came on so I wondered hmmmmm, should this light be on in order to have this pipe un freeze?????? I thought, "No, if it were suppose to be on Bud would have for sure left it on!"

Moral of the story. Just when you think you have your husband trained........ No just kidding.

I am getting organized and this is my proof to anyone who needs it. Including myself. What a great feeling it is. I just love it. Slowly but surely we are getting there. I was watching Oprah last night before I went to bed and she had a program on called, "This is the year." Talking about de-clutering and getting organized. It's amazing what "stuff" says about a person. I don't have hair today. So hopefully we can get more organizing done.

This is funny, I always get Bud good shampoo from my beauty supply store and it has been in the shower for quite some time now. A few months ago I said, "Bud, do you use your shampoo or why is there so much in the bottle still?" And his response was that he just uses soap on his whole body and in his hair. I was like, "Bud, you cannot do that!" You wonder why your scalp is dry and itches. So, the other day at Target, I needed to pick him up some new body wash. It of course was on clearance, for a good deal and two bottles so I thought what a steal. As I took it out of the bag I realized what it said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ISH!! That is so nasty. Hair and Body wash all in one. He thought it was hilarious. I however did not find the humor in the situation. After I had finally (I think) got it through his head to use body wash on his body, and shampoo on his head. The shampoo is now thankfully almost gone, so I know he's been using it. Otherwise he just dumping it out and "pretending" to be using it. Who knows? He is a guy. And I have yet to figure them out.

I wrote this email on Saturday night I just never quite finished becuase I was to tired.

I have a couple funny, funny stories for the evening. So sister Ann is trying to get this job after school in the cities working with a couple sibling children with Autism. She has talked to the mother of the kids and done a phone interview, then Ann had to send 3 references to this lady. Some how they started to do a little corresponding back and forth through email. At the end of the email the lady said, I thought (let say this girls name is Betty), "I thought Betty said your name was Anna Wiley. OMG!! Say they 3 times really slowly. A-N-N-A W-I-L-E-Y It sounds like you are saying her name with a lisp. I just cannot stop laughing about it. It is seriously the funniest thing I have heard in a long, long time.....is that pathetic or what.

There goes my trailing period again. I am aware however that I do this often. Kind of like telling stories, people always say that it takes me a while to tell the story because I say it in such detail. I think Shelly has also had people tell her that. I think we take after our mother a little eh.

I'm rambling......

The second funny story.
Bud has been working up at Bauer’s again this week and he hadn't talked to Steve (THE BOSS) tonight so he called him from my cell phone and left a message. Steve calls back a while later to my phone and leaves a message saying, "Hi Debbie, I am looking for some guy named Peter" (I can here about 12 people in the background) and then all of a sudden you hear a little commotion and that must have been Bud calling him back on his own cell phone. Hi, Debbie? LOL!!

Shelly says some time when she talks to people at work that they think her name is Sheri.
So we have Anna, Debbie and Sheri. I am sure this happens to people quite often, but never did I think it would have given me the laugh it did about Ann.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!!!

I feel like it has been forever since I have logged a real entry. Zabe is doing wonderful. Getting so big. It is his 4 month birthday today. He goes to the doctor tomorrow for his 4 month check up. I cannot believe it has already been 4 months!!!! Where has the time gone? I will let everyone know what he tips the scale too. I am sure it is going to be ridiculous. He’s a healthy one!!! His pants he had on today were 18 months.

He is such a good baby. Sleeping through the night is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! He is doing so well at that. Occasionally he gets up once to eat but that is probably once a week...maybe. He still has only one tooth. For how much his hands are in his mouth I am very surprised another one hasn't popped in but I am sure it will in do time.

Today, Bud, Zabe and our "nanny auntie Annie" lol went to Roch to get a few things for our trip to Florida. 4 DAYS.......yeah!!!!

We had a great weekend, as always it was busy but good. I had a bunch of hair yesterday, Bud worked and my aunt Lori came up to hang with Z while I did hair. Thanks again Lor. Friday night I had a Norwex cleaning party. Good to hang out with friends and family. Last night Bud and I went out with a couple friends of ours. We tried our skills at bowling, however I didn't get any strikes, I did make out well with the Michgolden Light. Also, Bud got beat by two girls. Needless to say we need to do some practicing up on our bowling skills. We had a great night!! Our friends Cassie and Gooz got engaged before we went out for the evening. So it was nice to celebrate with them!! Also Michelle and Eric were out as well.

So we are at home tonight wrapping up our weekend here at home!! It is going to be another busy week especially getting ready for Florida.

The other morning Z had just woke up and I was still upstairs when I heard, "Heelloooo" coming from downstairs and I thought to myself that sounds like my cousin Jamie. I figured he had stopped over to see if I could cut his hair, but he proceeds to tell me that he locked himself out of his house. (he lives with his sister Charlotte) I was like, "Oh my Jamie!" "That sucks!" Then I said, "How did you do that?" He said, "I went out for a smoke and shut the door, and it locked behind me." For all that do or don't know Jamie, HE IS SOOOO FUNNY!!! So, you have to picture him locking himself out and telling the story how it happened. I was dying. It was 10:30 a.m. and he had been sitting in the garage at Chars house for 1 1/2 hours before he came down to my house. Luckily, he found a blanket in the trunk of Trevors car!!! In the mean time he tried breaking into Char's house by demolishing the lock with his tools and still could not get in. Funny. I had to take a picture of him, because it was so comical. I can just picture him walking by the school and all the elementary kids starring at him. Trevor (Char's fiancé) came to the rescue and came and got him from my house. He was pretty sure that his day was going to be a good one since he started off like that!! Oh, yes this was Valentine's Day. Lol. Thanks Jam, for entertaining us that morning. I kept thinking about it all day and would crack up to myself.

I did a little number on Alicia's hair. She has been blonde forever, and was ready for a change. I love it. I think it is so very cute. And she liked it also. That is always a plus.

We are home from our wonderful vacation. Just wanted to make a quick entry before I am off to bed. It is soo nice to be home, flying with a child is a lot of work but Zabe was excellent. I don't know how anyone could travel alone with not just a 22 lb, 4 month old, but with any kid. I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for my family. They were soooo much help all weekend. Thanks guys. We had a great time, ate A LOT, laid in the sun by the pool and did some much needed relaxing. I will post pictures probably this weekend when I get Ann or Shelly's camera. I wanted to get Z in some picts by the grass, but time just flew by. Shell and I wanted to do some much needed shopping at a store called Ross but ran out of time also. Where does the time go when you are on vacation?
Ehren and Jen's wedding was beautiful. I attended my first outdoor wedding which was so gorgeous. The reception was a blast.
They are many, many stories to be told of our few days away, but if I wrote all of them on here I would be here forever.

However, if you would like me to share with you any of the following when I see you, here would be some topics. LOL!!
